How it works

Five steps from search to a live LEI.

You handle your company. We handle the regulatory machinery around it.

  1. Step 1

    You search for your company

We look up the entity and show whether an LEI already exists, is expired or has never been issued.

  2. Step 2

    You confirm the legal details

Legal name, organisation number and registered address must match official records exactly. We show what will be submitted.

  3. Step 3

You choose a term and pay

One, three or five years. Payment is taken once and covers the full term, including renewals inside it.

  4. Step 4

We register through an accredited issuer

Your application goes to an accredited LEI Issuer in the Global LEI System. Most codes are live within one business day.

  5. Step 5

    We keep it current

We monitor the renewal date and update the record if your company details change. You hear from us before anything expires.

Background

The LEI, briefly.

What an LEI actually is

A 20-character code, published openly, that identifies one legal entity anywhere in the world. It replaces guessing which 'Nordic Invest AB' a transaction refers to.

Why regulators require it

Under MiFID II and related rules, a firm cannot report a transaction for a legal entity without an LEI. No LEI, no trade.

Why it must be renewed

The data behind the code is re-verified every year so the global index stays trustworthy. A lapsed LEI is flagged as 'lapsed' publicly.
