Terms of service
These are draft terms for review. Have them checked by legal counsel before the site goes live.
1. Our role
SWELEI is a registration and service provider for Legal Entity Identifiers. We are not an accredited LEI Issuer. Issuance takes place through an accredited LEI Issuer within the Global LEI System, and we act on your instructions in that process.
2. Your responsibility
You confirm that the company details you provide are accurate and that you are authorised to act for the legal entity. Incorrect details may delay or invalidate a registration.
3. Fees and terms
Fees are stated before you order and cover the term you select, including the annual fees charged within the Global LEI System for that term. Prices exclude VAT.
4. Delivery
Most LEI codes are issued within one business day of a confirmed application. Delays caused by verification requirements outside our control are not grounds for refund.
5. Renewal
An LEI must be renewed every 12 months. Where your term covers a renewal we perform it. Where it does not, we notify you in advance and renewal requires a new order.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel before we submit your application to the LEI Issuer. Once a code has been issued, the registration fee is non-refundable, as the service has been performed.
7. Liability
Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the service in question. We are not liable for indirect losses, including losses arising from a transaction that could not be executed.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes are heard by Swedish courts, with Stockholm District Court as the court of first instance.
